Laurence Déry specializes in labour and employment law. She represents public and private sector employers subject to both federal and provincial jurisdiction. Laurence also advises foreign companies on their obligations as employers in Quebec. Laurence is an expert on many individual and collective labour law issues. She intervenes in collective bargaining, drafts collective agreements and contracts of employment and conducts investigations into psychological harassment. She advises employers on various employment-related issues, such as union certification, the rights and obligations of successor employers, labour standards, termination of employment, clauses restricting employment, workplace absenteeism, and the application and interpretation of collective agreements. Laurence is a seasoned litigator and often appears before tribunals, arbitrators, specialized labour law boards and the regular courts. She handles a variety of matters involving human rights, the protection of personal information and the Charter of the French Language.
