Peter Thorup is a senior partner. He practises exclusively management-side labour and employment law and is experienced in providing sound, practical advice to employers in both the private and public sectors. Peter's expertise ranges from collective bargaining and corporate restructuring, to developing proactive employer strategies, and labour and employment litigation, including responding to union organizing efforts and dealing with health and safety and human rights matters. Peter has co-chaired CLE programs in labour law for both the Law Society of Ontario and the OBA. He is a frequent speaker, lecturer and author on current labour and employment law topics. He was also a founding director and past President of The Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE). Peter was named by Best Lawyers as the Lawyer of the Year (2012, 2016, 2019) for his work in Labour and Employment Law in London. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982.
