Scott Gfeller is a partner with Gardiner Roberts LLP and has appeared as counsel at all levels of Ontario Courts. While Mr. Gfeller’s practice focuses primarily on professional liability, he has extensive experience in a broad range of commercial matters including representing several national financial institutions and brokerage firms through a variety of complex cases requiring injunctive relief and the appointment of receivers. Mr. Gfeller was lead counsel for one of Canada’s largest banks on a successful Superior Court of Justice trial relating to an investment product that had previously never been the subject of litigation in Ontario. Mr. Gfeller is also routinely retained in connection with the defence of title insurance and other insurance matters. Distinct from his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Gfeller also acts as a special prosecutor for various Conservation Authorities regarding the prosecution of offences under the Conservation Authorities Act in the Ontario Court of Justice. Mr. Gfeller is very active within his firm in all aspects of mentorship, associate professional development and recruitment.
