Has a broad practice that includes issues ranging from Indigenous relationship-building to permitting, approvals, and compliance. Acts as impact assessment (IA) counsel on an array of infrastructure projects including energy, mining, waste, and water projects and is active with IAs in a variety of Canadian jurisdictions. Very active in Arctic natural resource development and regulatory matters. Has extensive experience with Aboriginal consultation, IBA negotiation, and Indigenous relationship development, for both Indigenous and business interests. Has long involvement in climate change matters and has advised clients on offset and related agreements, international initiatives, and GHG emissions management.
