Chris is a partner in Gowling WLG's Waterloo Region office, and past co-leader of the firm's Employment, Labour & Equalities Practice Group. With over 25 years of knowledge and experience, combined with creativity and a focus on practical solutions, Chris works alongside his clients as a trusted adviser minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities. His clients include multinational organizations and owner-managed businesses active in many sectors of the economy. Chris represents employers in all aspects of their relationships with their employees, with an emphasis on written employment agreements, managing absenteeism, and workplace dispute resolution (litigation and mediation). He is consistently invited to speak on a variety of topics, and is sought out by the media to comment on various legal developments. He is on the Board of Directors and a regular presenter to the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE). Chris represents clients before courts and administrative tribunals including the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
