Darryl Brown is a partner working in the Gowling WLG Toronto office where his practice is concentrated in infrastructure, construction law and real estate. His infrastructure and construction law experience includes acting on behalf of clients such as government agencies, developers, equity providers, construction companies, subcontractors and operators (Canadian and international). Darryl has acted as counsel in respect of various P3 projects, examples of which include the construction of LRTs, roads, water/wastewater, detention centres, hospitals, schools, courthouses and cultural centres. Darryl is an active member of the Gowling WLG Nuclear Practice Group, particularly in connection with the large refurbishment and restart project for North America’s largest nuclear installation and as part of a multi-firm legal team, advising the Province of Ontario, in structuring and implementing Ontario’s procurement process to select the vendor and nuclear technology for Ontario’s new-build nuclear project. Darryl is recognized in Lexpert® as a leading Infrastructure lawyer (2012–2018), Chambers Canada as a leading lawyer in P3 and infrastructure (2012–2019) and in Who’s Who Legal for public procurement (2011–2016).
