David Corry is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office and practises principally in the areas of labour and employment law, privacy law, and human rights. He has experience in both federal and provincial areas of jurisdictions and has appeared before all levels of court, the Alberta and Federal Labour Boards, and the human rights commissions. He acts for management in collective bargaining and labour relations. He advises and assists in the implementation of labour and employment strategies in M&A and workplace restructurings. David represents diverse client groups including employers in the federal and provincial sectors, airlines, transportation companies, construction companies, the grocery industry, public and government organizations, the telecommunications industry, school boards, and municipalities. David has been a part-time instructor in labour and employment law at the University of Calgary in both the Faculties of Management and Law. He has written and contributed to publications on illness and disability in the workplace, collective bargaining, negotiation, and other employment law issues. David has been recognized in Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, and The Best Lawyers in Canada. He was named an “Acritas Star” in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
