Will Cascadden is a partner at Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. He advises and represents employers in a number of employment and related matters, including human rights, employee disability, terminations, labour relations, hiring, union certification drives, collective bargaining, policy development, group dismissals, employment issues in mergers & acquisitions, and all manner of lawsuits and legal proceedings. Will represents clients in arbitrations and before boards such as human rights tribunals, collective-agreement arbitrations, and labour relations boards. He regularly appears as counsel before the Superior Courts and Courts of Appeal of Alberta and British Columbia, as well as before the Federal Court of Canada. Will teaches Employment Law at the University of Calgary Law School and has authored several books, including Strategies for Litigators in Alberta, Employment Standards in British Columbia, and the Labour Relations Code Practitioner's Manual. He has been recognized in Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, The Best Lawyers in Canada and was named an “Acritas Star” in 2019.
