Mr. Oulton is senior litigation counsel with a general civil and administrative litigation practice focusing on forestry related matters. He heads the forestry practice at Hunter Litigation Chambers and appears regularly as counsel before the Forest Appeals Commission, all levels of the British Columbia Courts, the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as arbitrations and mediations. He advises and represents individuals, licensees and contractors in forestry matters, including opportunities to be heard, stumpage appeals, contractor disputes, professional discipline proceedings, compensation claims and arbitrations. Mark also acts as counsel in commercial matters, including cases involving negligence, fiduciary duty, shareholder, contract and property disputes. Mark is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (BSc), York University (MES) and Osgoode Hall Law School (LLB). He regularly contributes to the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and The Advocates’ Society. Among other things, Mark has been recognized as a "well-respected litigator with strong experience in the forest sector" by Chambers Canada, a Litigation Star by Benchmark Canada and maintains the AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mark was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2000.
