Shara Roy's practice encompasses complex commercial, securities and administrative litigation. Shara is a cut-to-the-chase litigator who specializes in bet-the-company litigation. Her areas of expertise include securities regulatory actions, shareholder disputes, oppression remedy claims, restructuring and insolvency, trade and cross-border litigation, commercial arbitration and class actions. Shara was named in 2017 as a Rising Star by Lexpert® and a Litigation Lawyer to Watch. Shara is a regular presenter on advocacy skills, securities and administrative litigation. In the community, Shara sits on the steering committee of Malachy’s Soiree in support of St. Michael’s Hospital NICU and is a member of the engagement committee for the United Way’s Women United. Shara supports the next generation of lawyers by leading Lenczner Slaght’s student program and volunteering as a mentor to University of Toronto law students and through the Ontario Bar Association to young lawyers.
