George Vassos has practised employment and labour law for more than 35 years with a focus on advocacy before trial and appellate Courts, and before various arbitrators, mediators, adjudicators, and other administrative tribunals, as well as on strategic and proactive counselling and advice on a wide variety of employment and labour law issues. His work includes employment contracts; wrongful dismissal and employment litigation; group benefits; employment standards; human rights; collective bargaining; administration of collective agreements; grievances; arbitrations; and alternative dispute resolution. George has been recognized as a leading practitioner by Lexpert® and Best Lawyers. George earned a Master of Industrial Relations degree from the University of Toronto, and Bachelor of Laws and Honours Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Queen’s University. Before joining Littler (the world’s largest employment and labour law firm acting for employers) and opening its first Canadian office in August 2015, George was a founding partner with Kuretzky Vassos Henderson.
