David Debenham is certified as a Construction Law Specialist by the Law Society of Ontario. He is also a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers’ Society of America and the CPAO. Practising in Ottawa, David was the first Chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Construction Law Section to practise outside the Greater Toronto Area. He is presently a Director of the Canadian Bar Association's Construction Law Executive. He has served as an expert witness in Ontario construction law and procedural for an extra-provincial court. His practice extends from drafting RFPs, calls to tender, to litigating lien claims. He was named "Laureate" by his alma mater in Pittsburgh. David is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Anti-Corruption Team. He is co-author of the Chapter on construction law in The Essential Guide to Settlement published by LexisNexis, and the author of Executive Liability and the Law and The Law of Fraud and the Forensic Investigator, both published by Carswell.
