Significant cartel and merger practice, both domestic and international.Significant merger mandates include Shell/CNRL, Molson/Miller, Lafarge/Holcim, Leon’s/The Brick, Agrium/Viterra, Maple/Toronto Stock Exchange, BCE/CTV, BFI/Waste Services, Suncor/Petro-Canada, Avaya/Nortel and Akzo/ICI. Significant cartel/class-action mandates include foreign exchange, chocolate tuna and other food products, polyurethane foam, construction glass, automobiles and automotive products, computer chips and chemical products. Unsurpassed experience litigating Competition Tribunal cases in Canada. Adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law. Has lectured and been published extensively, including Jurisdictional Issues in International Cartel Cases: A Canadian Perspective, with J. Pratt; in Litigating Conspiracy (Irwin Law, 2006).
