Partner, Montréal office. Advises Canadian and international clients on all aspects of competition law, including national and international merger review and cartel investigations. Involved in several landmark cases involving competition legislation before all level of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Represents clients in investigations and class actions related to alleged cartel activities, both national and multijurisdictional, with respect to products such as DRAM; airline cargo services; gasoline; automotive parts; construction and consulting engineering. Past chair of the CBA National Competition Law Section. Served on external task force advising the Competition Bureau on reform of the cartel legislation. Awarded the title Advocatus Emeritus by the Québec Bar in 2007 and the Order of Merit from the Faculty of Law (civil law section) of the University of Ottawa in 2011 for outstanding contribution to the profession and other exceptional achievements. Appointed to the Competition Policy Council of the C.D. Howe Institute. Clerked with Right Honourable Justice Lamer, Supreme Court of Canada.
