Adam Chisholm is a partner and group head, regulatory regimes and complex disputes at McMillan LLP. He is an experienced and passionate litigator. His judgment has been valued by clients in complex disputes across sectors, ranging from traditional industries to those involving cutting-edge technology such as cryptocurrency. He teaches securities litigation at Queen’s University. He has been quoted in the Globe and Mail and Financial Post and appeared on both CBC News and Bloomberg News Network. His securities litigation matters have ranged beyond Canada's borders; he has assisted clients as far away as Cyprus, Australia, and Israel. He assists McMillan's clients with regulatory matters in other provinces, and has represented clients in multi-jurisdictional matters, including those involving FINRA, the SEC, and CFTC in the US. He has led the appellate legal team in one of Canada’s most prominent securities fraud cases, litigated cases of national interest, and successfully tried a significant matter concerning securities blackout periods and corporate director responsibilities. He has also represented clients in Competition Bureau investigations and notable contested matters before Canada’s Competition Tribunal.
