Peter Reardon has joined Nathanson Schachter & Thompson LLP after practising for many years with a national firm. Peter is widely recognized as a leading practitioner in restructuring and insolvency matters as well as having extensive experience in commercial matters, banking litigation, conflicts of law, administrative and constitutional law. He has represented clients at all levels of courts including the BC Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Supreme Courts of BC and of Yukon, and has engaged in alternate dispute resolution proceedings. He has represented receivers, trustees, secured creditors and debtors in many bankruptcies, receiverships and re-organizations. In non-insolvency circumstances Peter has advised corporations in reorganization, national brokerage firms and franchisors, and landlords. Peter has acted for secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditor committees, court-appointed monitors, debtor-in-possession lenders, receivers, acquirers of assets, and other related parties in insolvency situations. He represents multiple financial institutions and other secured lenders in debt realization proceedings, including mortgage foreclosures and personal property security realization.
