Karen Jensen has represented clients in complex human rights, employment & labour law matters for over twenty years. She represents employers in human rights and pay equity disputes, collective bargaining, certification matters, complaints of unfair labour practices, grievance and interest arbitrations, unjust and wrongful dismissal complaints, and provides proactive advice on the full range of human rights, employment & labour law issues. Previously assistant dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, and taught dispute resolution. Was a full-time member of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal where she adjudicated and mediated human rights disputes in both official languages (2005–2009). Included by Best Lawyers in Canada for her work in labour & employment law and the Acritas Stars Stand-Out lawyer listing. Designated as a recognized practitioner in employment & labour: Ontario (2019) and band 3 nationwide (2019) by Chambers Canada. Recognized in Lexpert® as being Repeatedly Recommended in Workplace Human Rights (2018). Fully trilingual (English, French, Spanish) and represents clients in both official languages before the courts and tribunals. She is Ottawa chair of our employment & labour law practice and the National Practice Group Chair of Labour and Employment.
