Dale R. Ponder is national co-Chair of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt and a senior member of the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. She is the immediate past national managing partner of the Firm, a position she held for nine years. Her business law practice has focused on M&A, securities regulation and corporate governance. She has had extensive experience throughout her career leading transactions relating to public and private merger and acquisition matters and advising boards of public companies. She has represented Canadian market leaders in various industry sectors with cross-border and international business interests, including the financial services, mining, consumer and pension plan sectors. Dale has been a frequent speaker on numerous panels relating to M&A and securities law, and on leadership in the professional services industry. She has been recognized repeatedly by the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women program (a 2017 Hall of Fame inductee) and in Top 25 Women of Influence. Most recently, Dale was named Canadian Legal Leader of the Year at the 2018 Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards. She is a member of the boards of Morneau Shepell, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, and is the Chair of Canadian Business Growth Fund.
