Donna is a partner in Osler’s National Intellectual Property Department. She oversees the firm’s trademark practice and is managing partner of the Ottawa office. Her practice entails trademark clearance, enforcement and prosecution with a significant emphasis on contentious proceedings before the Trademarks Opposition Board. She regularly advises on licensing, labelling, domain name issues and the protection of trademarks abroad and counsels clients on the management of domestic and international portfolios. Donna is current chair of the IPIC Trademark Practice Committee, serves on INTA and CBA practice committees, has been actively engaged in commenting and consulting with government authorities on changes to Canadian trademark law and is a frequent speaker on trademark issues.
