Manon is a partner in Osler’s Tax Group. She focuses her practice on domestic and cross-border tax law, with particular emphasis on the taxation of mergers & acquisitions, financings and corporate reorganizations. She also advises shareholders and directors in relation to personal tax matters and estate planning. She is the author of numerous publications on tax matters and frequently speaks on this subject. She has been active in professional associations, including: current vice-president and member of the Board of Directors of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF); former chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation (2001) and a former Governor (1993–1996 and 1998–2002); former president of the tax section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) for the province of Québec (1995–1998); former member of the joint committee on taxation of the CBA and of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants; and former member of the Canada Revenue Agency’s National Advisory Committee. Manon teaches estate planning at the Master’s program in taxation at the H.E.C. Montréal and is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner by STEP. Manon received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her contribution to the Canadian tax community. Called to the Québec Bar in 1986.
