For over 20 years, Mr. Gillott’s practice has involved exclusively the litigation, arbitration and mediation of complex construction and procurement disputes at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Gillott is listed by Lexpert®/ALM 500 Directory as one of the Top 500 Lawyers in Canada, and is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers’ Society of America. Roger has litigated disputes relating to the construction of commercial, industrial, public transit and power facilities. Former chair of Ontario Bar Association Construction Law Section Executive. Assisted Attorney General’s office with drafting 2010 amendments to Construction Lien Act. Testified before Ontario Legislature’s Standing Committee on General Governance on construction lien issues. Appointed by Ontario Bar Association as liaison with Teranet and Ministry of Consumer and Business Services on electronic registration issues. Frequent chair and speaker at conferences and author of over 60 articles on construction and procurement law.
