Sylvain Vauclair has been practising in the field of insolvency law for 35 years and has throughout those years represented the full spectrum of stakeholders, from debtors' and creditors' committees to bondholders, CCAA monitors, trustees in bankruptcy and lenders. His work is now particularly focused on restructuring matters. He is listed in the insolvency section of the International Who's Who, The Best Lawyers in Canada, The 2008 Lexpert®/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and in the Lexpert® 2009 Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross-Border Litigation Lawyers in Canada for Insolvency. He is a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the American Bankruptcy Institute as well as its subcommittee on international insolvencies and is a regular lecturer on insolvency issues. Current engagements include the representation of the Monitor in the CCAA cross border proceedings of Montréal, Maine and Atlantic Railway.
