Ashley was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2016 and Nova Scotia Bar in 2018. She holds a BA (York University) and JD (Dalhousie). Ashley has been with Burchell Wickwire Bryson LLP since 2019, and is an active member of the firm’s Aboriginal Law practice group, with a particular focus in the areas of litigation, employment law, and governance. Ashley is also a member of the firm’s Civil Litigation practice group, and has an active practice in employment law, human rights law, and professional regulation. Ashley is passionate about social justice and advocacy, and has appeared before a wide range of courts and administrative tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada, New Brunswick Court of Appeal, Federal Court, Nova Scotia Supreme Court, the Nova Scotia Police Review Board, and Human Rights Boards of Inquiry.
