Brian Fraser is a senior partner in Gowling WLG’s Advertising and Product Regulatory Practice Group, in the firm’s Toronto office. He advises on all aspects of advertising and marketing law, including ad copy review, promotional contests, social media, packaging and labelling requirements, comparative advertising, and claims support. His practice also includes assisting clients with trade dispute proceedings administered by Ad Standards Canada. Brian also provides advice with respect to advertising agency agreements and other contracts for advertising, sponsorship, marketing, and promotional services. His clients include leading global advertising, public relations, and promotion agencies, as well as some of Canada’s leading consumer product companies, retailers, and service providers. He is co-author of Canadian Advertising and Marketing Law (Thomson Reuters) and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and listed in The Lexpert®/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada since 2014.
