Craig Stehr is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office and member of the firm's Employment, Labour & Equalities Group. He provides practical and strategic advice to employers on workplace issues, including terminations and wrongful dismissal, absenteeism, workplace conflict, performance management, legislative compliance and accommodation, and human rights. He assists clients with drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, and confidentiality agreements, and restrictive covenants. He also works with clients on executive compensation issues, including equity compensation plans, change-of-control provisions, indemnification terms, and severance agreements. Craig has significant experience advising youth and sports organizations on a range of legal issues involving youth safety, safe sport, and organizational risk mitigation. He assists clients in this area with policy development, complaint investigations and appeals and litigation involving historical abuse claims. Craig has appeared before all levels of Ontario and Federal courts as well as various administrative tribunals. He taught employment law at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.
