Dale is national Co-Chair of Osler and a senior member of the Firm’s M&A practice. She is the immediate past national managing partner of the Firm, a position she held for nine years. Her practice focused on M&A, securities regulation and corporate governance. She has extensive experience throughout her career leading transactions relating to public and private M&A matters and advising boards of public companies. She has represented Canadian market leaders in various industries with cross-border and international business interests, including the financial services, mining, consumer and pension plan sectors. Dale has been a frequent speaker on numerous panels relating to M&A and securities law, and on leadership in the professional services industry. She has been recognized by the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women program (a 2017 Hall of Fame inductee) and in Top 25 Women of Influence. Dale was named Canadian Legal Leader of the Year at the 2018 Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards. She is a member of the boards of Morneau Shepell, Choice Properties REIT, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, the Governors’ Council of St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation and the Caldwell Partners Top 40 Under 40 Advisory Board. She is also Chair of the Canadian Business Growth Fund.
