Donna Shier, BA, LLB, is a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Environmental Law. Donna is environmental counsel to major industrial corporations and a leading expert in contaminated land issues, advising on contaminated site management, remediation, and redevelopment. Corporate, commercial, real estate, and litigation counsel request her assistance with their clients’ environmental legal issues. She helps corporations and directors and officers identify, reduce, and manage environmental risk and liability exposures, including risks associated with the purchase and sale of contaminated land and other corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions. She assists with pre-purchase environmental due diligence and compliance.
