Faithe Holder is a partner in the Real Estate and Financial Services Department of Gowling WLG’s Toronto office. Faithe’s practice is concentrated on infrastructure/public–private partnership (P3), commercial real estate, and construction law. Her experience encompasses the acquisition, financing, and disposition of commercial properties and drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of agreements — including P3 agreements, agreements of purchase and sale, service agreements, construction contracts, consultant contracts, tenders, and procurement documentation. Faithe acts for a wide range of entities in the infrastructure, real property, and construction sectors. She has represented clients involved in infrastructure projects spanning a variety of asset classes including nuclear facilities, hospitals, courthouses, arts centres, schools, detention centres, and rail maintenance facilities. Faithe enjoyed a tenure as legal counsel with the crown corporation that managed one of Canada's largest real estate portfolios on behalf of the Ontario government. Faithe is involved in a number of firm initiatives including those pertaining to equity, diversity and inclusion, and mental health. She has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and TheBest Lawyers in Canada.
Two Saskatchewan Joint-Use Schools Projects reached financial close on August 20, 2015, when Joint Use Mutual Partnership #1 and Joint Use Mutual Partnership #2 entered into Project Agreements with the Province of Saskatchewan (Province) for 18 elementary schools and 9 joint-use facilities. The projects, presently valued at $635 million, are design, build, finance and maintain public-private partnerships, each with an operations period of 30 years from service commencement.
On March 27, 2015, Halton Healthcare Services Corporation and Infrastructure Ontario reached Financial Close with Plenary Health Milton LP (Project Co) to design, build, finance and maintain the Milton District Hospital Redevelopment Project (the Project), located in Milton, Ontario. PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is acting as the Construction Contractor and Johnson Controls Canada LP is acting as the Service Provider for the Project.
