Grant MacKenzie is a partner and the Corporate co-leader in the Calgary office. His practice is Issuer-focused and includes capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, public offerings and stock exchange compliance advice. Grant has extensive experience advising a wide range of issuers and underwriters on numerous matters. His clients include companies that specialize in oil and gas, oil and gas services, mining, aviation, construction, technology and financial services. In the scope of his representation of his clients, Grant regularly advises boards and management teams on matters concerning shareholder activism, corporate governance and TSX and TSX Venture Exchange listing matters.
On April 16, 2015 Kelt Exploration Ltd. (Kelt) completed the acquisition of Artek Exploration Ltd. (Artek) for approximately $320 million in accordance with a previously announced Plan of Arrangement (the Arrangement). Pursuant to the Arrangement, Artek became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kelt and Artek’s name was changed to Kelt Exploration (LNG) Ltd.
