Partner Jeffrey Kay, KC, practises in the fields of commercial litigation and family law. He has appeared as counsel in family law cases before the BC Court of Appeal, the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, and numerous arbitration hearings. His family practice includes all matters relating to custody, access, property division and maintenance, constructive trust claims, and the drafting of marriage and separation agreements. Jeffrey has acted as a mediator in resolving numerous complex matrimonial disputes. He has extensive experience in matters related to domestic and offshore trusts. Jeffrey is trial counsel defending two tobacco companies in litigation commenced by all provinces in Canada against the tobacco industry for the recovery of alleged tobacco-related healthcare costs. He was on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Subsection of the BC Branch of the CBA and has lectured on numerous occasions for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC.
