Mr. Orenstein is the founder of the law firm Consumer Law Group. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montréal and a Master of Laws from New York University. He is a member of both the Bars of Québec and Ontario. His practice is devoted primarily to plaintiff’s class action work, where he is lead counsel in multiple national and provincial class actions. Mr. Orenstein has appeared numerous times before the Québec Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Québec, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec’s Consumer Protection Committee, a governor of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec, a director of the Board of Trustees of Mount Sinai Hospital in Montréal, and a member of the Membership Committee of the County of Carlton Law Association. Mr. Orenstein is a frequent speaker at class action conferences in both Canada and the US. He is the attorney of record in over 200 reported cases in two provinces. He is regularly interviewed by media outlets in Canada, the US, and internationally about his cases as well as other legal matters of interest to the public.
