Joanne is senior counsel with the Blakes Vancouver office with a focus on Indigenous Law. Her practice emphasizes in-depth legal analysis and written advocacy in the context of a broad range of commercial law and public law areas, including contracts and business transactions, corporations, trusts, property law, constitutional law, administrative law, Crown law, Aboriginal law and private international law. Joanne has drafted arguments and written submissions for use at all levels of the British Columbia and Federal Court systems, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and for use in arbitrations, administrative proceedings and commissions of inquiry. She also frequently assists in providing opinions and advice on non-litigious matters.
