John Israel Galambos is a lawyer and a partner with the national law firm of KPMG Law LLP and is also the practice leader of the KPMG Family Office (Quebec). John’s main areas of practice include corporate and individual taxation and tax planning, estate planning, wills, trusts, corporate reorganizations, and asset protection. He specializes in tax and corporate law and has significant experience with charities and not-for-profit corporations. He has also developed an expertise in governance issues, particularly in the context of business succession. His calm demeanor has led him to successfully mediate multimillion-dollar estate disputes among heirs and business disputes arising out of family enterprise divestitures. Prior to joining KPMG Law LLP, John was a partner at another national law firm. He also teaches on a part-time basis at the Faculty of Law of McGill University and at the Ordre des CPA du Québec. John is fluent in French and in English.
