Josh Jantzi, a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary and Vancouver offices, practises in the Advocacy Group. As regulatory and litigation counsel, he practises Indigenous, environmental, and administrative law with a focus on energy and natural resource development. He has presented cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, all levels of court in British Columbia and Alberta, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, the Tax Court of Canada, and many boards and tribunals. Josh's regulatory practice includes development, review, and assessment of energy and natural resource projects ranging from production/generation to transport/distribution to waste management. His Indigenous law practice involves the Crown's duties to consult and accommodate Indigenous peoples, treaties and land claim agreements, commercial and benefit agreements, and band governance. His environmental law practice involves impact assessment, land and water use, contaminated sites, transportation of dangerous goods, waste management, enforcement, and prosecutions.
