Lynn Ramsay practises primarily in commercial real estate law. She advises commercial real estate developers, condominium developers, lenders, landlords and tenants in land development organizations. She assists developers in the structuring and financing of property acquisitions, preparation and review of financing documents, negotiation of agreements between development partners and contractors, obtaining necessary development and subdivision approvals and ensuring compliance with legislation. She also assists landlords and tenants in negotiating and preparing lease agreements and offers to lease, while acting as general counsel on daily operations of real estate management. She is a former chair of the National Real Estate section of the Canadian Bar Association, current member of the Real Property section of the Bar, and is a member of the provincial Committee reviewing the new legislation for the Condominium Act. She has lectured and published papers on a variety of subjects, including “Pre-Development: The Developers Perspective” and “The Conversion of Existing Developments.” Lynn also co-authored Condominium Law and Practice in British Columbia.
