Christine O’Donohue has a litigation practice with special expertise in employment law, executive compensation, privacy and labour-related injunctions to restrain unlawful picketing. She is a partner with considerable knowledge and experience in a range of industries, including real estate and financial services. Christine provides practical and proactive advice to her clients’ human resource professionals to limit exposure to costly civil actions and human rights complaints. She is committed to helping clients resolve disputes in a sound, fair and business-minded manner and recommends mediation and arbitration where appropriate. She works closely with clients to draft employment contracts and restrictive covenants, determine appropriate employee discipline, manage disability claims and implement workplace policies. She provides counsel on the strategic development of preventative policies and procedures to reduce exposure to litigation. Christine is often called upon to speak on emerging legal issues. Christine was appointed Miller Thomson’s Ontario Privacy Officer in 2003.
