Mark Canty maintains an active litigation practice centered in Saint John, New Brunswick and represents clients throughout the Atlantic Provinces. Born in Halifax Nova Scotia, Mark completed his BA Hons. at Saint Mary’s University in 1979 and his LLB at the University of New Brunswick in 1992. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute and is a member and past President of the Law Society of New Brunswick. He was made Queen’s Counsel in 2010. He has written and presented papers in Civil Litigation and Insurance for the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Defence Lawyers and has spoken on a wide range of legal issues at conferences, association meetings and training sessions. He is a regular lecturer at the New Brunswick Law Society’s Bar Admission Programme. Mark acts as a Mediator in Insurance matters.
