Michelle is a senior litigator in the McKercher LLP Saskatoon office. She practises in the area of civil litigation with a special interest in health law and professional regulatory matters. She has represented clients at all levels of Canadian courts and also appears as counsel in professional regulatory proceedings. Michelle has been a faculty member of the Law Society’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop and has taught at the U of S in the School of Physical Therapy, College of Veterinary Medicine and College of Law. She is a frequent presenter at conferences and seminars and is very active in the community, having served as the Chair of the Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission and a member of the Board of the United Way among others. She currently serves as Chair of the Saskatchewan Public Complaints Commission and the Canadian Foundation for Legal Research, as well as on the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee and the Saskatchewan Honours Advisory Council. She has been listed as a Leading Practitioner in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and has been recognized by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2023 in the areas of Aboriginal Law/Indigenous Practice and Personal Injury Litigation in Saskatoon. She was called to the Bar in 1993 and appointed KC in 2007.
