Patricia (Pat) Forte has a litigation practice with a focus in employment and insurance defence law. Pat acts for profit and non-profit employers advising on all aspects of the employment relationship with a view to mitigate organizational liability, including employment standards, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, employee absence management, workplace investigations, workplace policies, mergers and acquisitions, human rights, privacy, employment discipline and termination. Her insurance practice focuses on the defence of disability, life, casualty and property claims. She provides opinions on coverage, drafts policies / plans and third party administration agreements, and is skilled in policy / plan interpretation and regulatory compliance. Her litigation experience includes court appearances in all levels of court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. To compliment her practice, Pat obtained a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.
