Advises on energy issues, including LNG projects, power agreements, project siting, climate change & renewable energy development. Provided expert evidence in American proceedings on environmental laws in Canada. Provided evidence before Canadian Parliament Environment Committee. Trained mediator/co-founder of the Canadian Centre for Environmental Arbitration & Mediation. Former federal prosecutor with Department of Justice (Canada). (AltaGas).
On May 31, 2017, Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (Canadian Natural) completed two previously announced agreements to acquire oil sands assets from Shell Canada Energy, Shell Canada Ltd. and Shell Canada Resources (Shell) and, with a subsidiary of Shell, to jointly acquire Marathon Oil Canada Corp. (MOCC).
