William (Bill) Rowlands is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Group in the Toronto office. A recognized leader in commercial leasing. In addition to commercial leasing, Bill’s practice included commercial real estate transactions such as acquisitions and dispositions of property. Bill represented participants on all sides of commercial leases and other real estate transactions, including property owners and managers, landlords and tenants, purchasers and vendors. Bill was a frequent speaker at commercial leasing programs such as the annual law conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the annual Real Estate Strategy and Leasing conference (formerly RealLeasing). Bill co-Chaired the Law Society of Upper Canada annual Six Minute Commercial Leasing Lawyer for many years. He has been repeatedly recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading lawyer in real estate law.
On January 2, 2018, Knowledge First Financial acquired Heritage Education Funds. The transaction creates the largest Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) provider in Canada with a combined $6.2 billion in assets under management.
