Kyle Kashuba, Torys LLP

Kyle Kashuba’s practice at Torys LLP focuses on all aspects of Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency. He also has significant experience in Real Estate, Retail and Manufacturing Insolvencies. Kashuba has served as counsel to many insolvency professionals in their capacities as monitors, receivers and trustees and he has served secured and unsecured creditors, and financially challenged public and private corporations. In his first year of partnership, he was appointed as amicus curiae counsel to the Court of Appeal of Alberta in a complex insolvency case, Canada (National Revenue) v. Meyers Norris Penny Limited. Kashuba has volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance, where he regularly advises clients on a variety of matters and trains other lawyers on Insolvency Law matters, as well as the John Howard Society, Student Legal Services and Pro Bono Students Canada. He serves as an Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association (National) Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Restructuring Section.
