Advises on approval requirements, including environmental assessment and Aboriginal consultation. Significant expertise in renewable energy permitting in Ontario. Advises on carbon disclosure and trading markets. Advises clients in matters relating to environmental management and compliance, including brownfields liability, air and wastewater emissions, waste diversion and disposal, asbestos management, PCB storage and disposal, new substance notification and Fisheries Act violations. Represents clients facing regulatory enforcement or civil claims (including actions against directors' and officers', insurance claims and class actions). Co-Chair, Environmental Law Forum.
