On January 10, 2001, Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. (Alliance Atlantis) completed a new syndicated financing for credit facilities in the amount of $525 million, co-led by TD Securities and RBC Dominion Securities Inc. This was a complex secured financing transaction, including roughly 250 subsidiaries in 10 jurisdictions, which was designed to provide Alliance Atlantis with greater flexibility in its lending arrangements. The credit facility will also be available for acquisitions, to fund internal growth initiatives and for general corporate purposes.

Alliance Atlantis was represented by Torys under the direction of Paul Laberge, General Counsel at Alliance Atlantis. The Torys team was comprised of Adam Delean, Candy Saga and Brandon Parent.
