B.C. Completes US$250M Global Bond Offering

The province of British Columbia completed a US$250 million global offering of 5-3/8 per cent bonds due October 29, 2008 listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on September 7, 2001.

The province was represented by Michael Shepherd of the Ministry of the Attorney General and by Brice T. Voran, Jennifer Mazin and Julian Fletcher of Shearman & Sterling in Toronto. The lead underwriters for the bonds were Lehman Brothers Inc. and CIBC World Markets. The underwriters were represented by Winthrop Conrad and Sandip Bhattacharji of Davis Polk & Wardwell, and by Herb Dodd and Gordon Love of Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy.
