Jeff Scobie joins Lawson Lundell as a partner practising energy law

Jeff Scobie joined Lawson Lundell as a partner practising energy law, with a specific expertise in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas to liquids (GTL). Scobie was most recently a partner with Bennett Jones. Prior to that he was General Counsel to Qatar Petroleum in Doha, where he handled much of the development and financing of Qatari gas projects as the country was rapidly expanding its involvement. He has taught for many years at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law where his students have benefited from his knowledge of international petroleum transactions.
