Arbitrator CIArb, certified mediator, visiting professor at Faculty of Law, University of Montréal (domestic and international arbitration), and former judge (Québec Superior Court: 1995–2001 and Court of Appeal: 2002–2014), Pierre Dalphond is senior counsel with Stikeman Elliott, Montréal office’s Litigation Group. His practice focuses on providing strategic advice in all areas of law and acting as a commercial mediator and arbitrator. On the bench, he wrote about 1,500 judgments, including leading decisions in class actions, insurance, construction contracts, commercial law. Previously, a partner at McCarthy Tétrault (corporate and commercial group). He is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Lausanne) and of Arbitration Place (Toronto).
