Jim is a partner with a diverse trial practice that includes class actions, arbitration, advertising disputes, securities litigation, defamation, franchise matters and sports-related hearings. Recent trial work includes successfully defending Athena Automation from allegations that it misused confidential information of a competitor, Husky Injection Molding; representing Rogers Communications and Freshii in connection with various litigious disputes; and arguing a number of complex and precedent-setting cases before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. Jim also had the privilege of attending the Olympic Games in Rio as an Athlete Ombudsperson for the Canadian Olympic Committee.
