Kibben Jackson is a partner in Fasken Martineau’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group with a focus on insolvency, including corporate restructurings under both the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and secured creditor realizations. He has experience in industries, including forestry, gaming, mining and retail. Kibben has extensive experience in cross-border insolvency proceedings involving corporate restructurings, realizations and asset sales. He recently worked as counsel to Yukon Zinc Corporation in its successful restructuring under the CCAA, as counsel to Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. in its capacity as Monitor of North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd. in its CCAA proceedings, and as counsel to PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. in its capacity as Monitor of Catalyst Paper Corporation in relation to its cross-border restructuring. He is a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the American Bankruptcy Institute, is on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, a founding member of the Young Insolvency Professionals and a member of the Civil Litigation and Insolvency Sections of the British Columbia and Canadian Bar Associations. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2001.
