Matthew Zischka's practice focusses on securing and exploiting intellectual property rights, particularly for high technology concerns. Prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the electrical, software, electronics, mechanical, and electro-mechanical fields. Experience extends from simple mechanical inventions to complex inventions in the telecommunications, microprocessor and graphics industries. Counsels corporate clients in: establishing intellectual property policies; establishing licensing programs; structuring transactions; conducting due diligence; and addressing assertions of patent infringement. Regular lecturer and former Course Director for the McGill/IPIC Patents Course.
